Phil's story

Phil Tielant is enthusiastic about his second opinion Bad fit of the prosthetic leg Three years ago my leg was amputated above the knee. Six months later, my first leg prosthesis was fitted in a rehabilitation center. Unfortunately, the fit of that prosthesis was not good. The socket was high in my groin and constantly pinched there. The pain made me want to take that leg off as soon as I put it on. Of course I went back to my instrument maker with my complaints. He then patched up the tube, filed something away or stuck something in the tube, but nothing helped: it didn't improve the fit. At some point it started to really annoy me. That was the moment I started looking for another company for a second opinion. A solution within an hour We were kindly received by the rehabilitation doctor and the director. Within half an hour, the doctor and Mr. Conradi looked at each other and knew a possible solution to my problem. I was literally told, “We have a leg for you.” An appointment was immediately made for fitting the new prosthetic socket. The prosthetic socket was fitted using a very special procedure. That same day I took my first steps with it. It is a new kind of prosthetic fitting. The top edge of the tube is made of flexible material and the tube does not extend into my groin. This feels very comfortable. At home I now wear the prosthesis all day, because I don't feel this artificial leg. The pain I had is gone. Extra gait training My gait pattern is still not so good. That is why an appointment was immediately made with a movement analyst and a physiotherapist for a number of exercise sessions. That's what I'm working on right now. Customer-friendliness is key What I find most remarkable about this company is the customer-friendliness and efficient way of working. We were able to get in quickly, no time is lost and there is full attention. All questions are answered immediately. I'd like to stay here for treatment. And most importantly: the pain I had is in the past!
