Lucas’ story

Reading time: 3 min

Aida, Lucas’ mother, says: “Our son Lucas has been wearing Talee helmet for over two months and so far the experience has been great! He adjusted to this helmet very quickly due to it being very lightweight and breathable compared to other brands on the market we initially considered. We are very lucky that Talee helmets are now available in the Netherlands. Not only it helped to improve our son’s head shape but he keeps on getting compliments everywhere we go because this helmet looks so cool and stylish. The team is super friendly and very professional in what they do. Lucas loves to see Juul and Wendy every time we have a checkup. We would definitely recommend this helmet to every parent who is about to start a helmet journey with their child.”

"I’ve now been a prosthesis user for half a century. For many years, I functioned quite well with my prostheses. I am a visual artist and a teacher, I lead an active life, and I have a job that requires me to stand. I’ve also always traveled a lot. However, I often suffered from sores in my groin, but I kept going. I simply want to do things and not always be focused on my prosthesis, which can limit me."

"In the hospital, they suspected a streptococcal infection, and to save my life, my left upper leg was amputated. The physiotherapist at the hospital assured me that with a good prosthesis, I would be able to do everything again. He warned me not to be too quick to settle and not to be fobbed off with the first prosthesis I was offered. Advice that later came in handy."
